Victoria Point Family Dental is Dr Jae Shin’s start-up dental practice, which meant that he was operating on a budget and with limited space but also wanted a fit out that could easily be adapted and expanded in the future as his practice continues to grow.
Fortunately, the team of design and construction experts at Dentifit knew how to fulfil these exact requirements. We incorporated a future OPG room with radiation shielding built-in, allowing Dr Jae Shin to get those services up and running as soon as an OPG machine is a viable option within the practice’s budget. And included plumbing and electrical services for a second dental surgery, so future cabinetry and a dental chair can be easily installed as the practice grows.
Besides the OPG room, we added many clever space-saving storage solutions to the design like recessed broom cupboards, pigeon-hole storage under the reception desk, bins stored in pull out drawers, wall-mounted monitors, glove and mask openings in overhead cupboards, and much more. These are all simple but very effective measures when it comes to saving space and preventing your practice from feeling cluttered.
We used simplistic aesthetics and sleek lines combined with statement pieces and colours, giving the space a contemporary and appealing feel without compromising on any functionality.
