FAQs

  • For Dental, based on a standard 2-4 chair practice, from start to finish, we would allow 14-16 weeks.

This includes all plans, finishes and approvals. 7-8 weeks for planning and approval stage

    7-8 weeks for construction stage

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions as the timeframe is dependant on the project.

  • We recommend pricing off a floor plan as you have a better idea of what has been allowed for.

Getting a price per sqm without plans is hard to compare what the different builders are allowing for and what type of finishes are included.

Knowing what is included in your future practice helps with quoting and providing a more accurate price.

  • Equipment is best to be selected before final drawings are completed as equipment has great impacts on the final design outcome.

  • The main things to look for are:

    • How much power the site has access to? A medical practice can use a lot if power with X-rays, autoclaves, compressors and suction motors. Upgrading your power board can be costly.

    • Is the existing drainage deep enough? Most medical practices have lots if sinks and basins which mean a lot of drainage. If the existing drainage is shallow, there might not be enough depth to run new drainage. It’s worth getting the depth the existing drains checked before committing to the lease or purchase.

    • Check what’s in your lease before signing. Some leases can restrict things like the amount of signage you are allowed, opening hours, amount of car parks your practice is allowed.

    • Check the zoning of the site to ensure a medical practice is allowed.
